Saturday: Mr Blackbird & Baby

Another dry day, blue sky too! 
The Swift was flying around early this morning, such an amazing bird, it was a joy to watch it’s obvious enjoyment of swooping and soaring :-))
Lazy morning, doing some family history - filling in some blanks on our family from the Lleyn (Llŷn) Peninsular in Caernarfonshire.
Continued clearing the garden under the Cordyline, mostly binning dead leaves and cutting back dead flower heads, making clear ground for the birds to scratch.
Spotted the blackbirds on our fence as I was packing up my gardening tools, Mr Blackbird doing an excellent job of guarding the youngster, think it might be the third brood since spring, so nice to see all our little “chooks”!
