Vintage kimonos

Today was the first time I had been 'out' for non necessities since lockdown started (I am counting Dorsetb as a necessity!)  I went to Finchingfield, a village about 10 miles from home, with a delivery to 'The Wonky Wheel Gallery'.
I first met Mary, the owner, last year at the Thaxted Arts and Crafts Fair, when she had just opened, and we had a lovely chat then. She mentioned then that she hoped to be stocking some bags made from vintage kimonos, and thought it would be lovely to have some headwear to match.  She caught up with me via 'Shop Cambridgeshire' and asked me to make her a couple of silk headbands, and when I took them over to her today asked if I would like to go back with some of my fabrics to see about pairing them with the bags, to make gift packages.
It was a lovely place, and had just the right 'feel' for me. It was lovely to see some works in real life by other artists I met through Shop Cambridgeshire, so I was comfortable it was the right demographic.
The 'bad news' if there is any, is that it is opposite a lovely teashop, so I bought M and I a treat to celebrate.
I've been cutting out more masks this afternoon, and have now revised again the assembly technique. My old IT colleagues will be most impressed at my 'continous improvement' approach.
