A long and great day out to Porters saddlery in Kilkenny . My extremely generous friend insisted we use her jeep ( mine is awaiting removal to the mechanics for the full diagnosis - I think it’s RIP but hope I’m wrong). Incredibly friendly and hospitable couple, we got invited to stay over and to go riding !! Came away with the one and only saddle that he was happy fitted both me and Daisy. It’s on trial and I sold him one of mine that was never going quite to fit me.
Stopped off at Julies house on way home to ride in her arena and get her opinion on the saddle . Saddle felt good, pony went well, popped over her poles and jumps - great fun. Then I persuaded Julie to try out the saddle , she worked and asked Daisy for a long outline for ages and she was really getting it at the end . I got a lesson by watching and listening - thanks Julie, really appreciated
So hopefully I’ll have my total contact saddle for most of my riding and a well fitted trad saddle for any riding club events - and have a healthy pony.
Just need a working jeep .......
