Fledge Day #2!

I got lucky again! I went out at lunch and happened to see 2 hawks in a tree, so I parked and walked through one of my favorite neighborhoods to see them.  They were yelling for food so I could tell they were juveniles - then I realized the yelling was coming from somewhere else as well - a third hawk was hiding in an adjacent pine tree.  They eventually flew off awkwardly, one by one.  As I was leaving one flew right by my car - if I had put my hand out I could have touched him.  It seemed like the people in the neighborhood were familiar with them as I saw several people out watching and comparing notes  It would be cool to have my own neighborhood nest watch, but I’ll happily settle for fledge days.
