What a day!!

After a wet minimally productive day yesterday, today could not have been more different!!!

A busy morning of general household chores, whilst the juvenile starlings and sparrows enjoyed the sunshine and played on the lawn and in the water bowls.

After a hassle yesterday I was pleased to get a call from the practice nurse from our surgery, to discuss a problem generated by the treatment for my index finger which was sore 3-4 weeks ago. The finger is mostly ok now, not perfect, but I’ve transferred the pain from my finger to another part of my body and increased the intensity!!!! No fun :0( 

This afternoon B took Amber to the vets (no problem getting an appointment for her). She has sore skin on her tummy which she has been licking for the last couple of days. He gave her a steroid injection and will check her next week when she has her vaccination. 

Later on we went up to the pharmacy to collect my tablets. The intention was to collect some groceries whist we were there but unfortunately they had a power cut just after we arrived. We headed home and will have to go back tomorrow. 

I’m not sure how extensive the power cut was. We passed the Chinese takeaway and it was closed ......shame as we planned a takeaway this evening, but that will have wait for another day.
I took some lasagne out of the freezer,  defrosted and heated it fairly quickly whilst we had power.

In amongst the other activities I have started on the next quilt using the Kaffe Fassett jelly roll. Easy sewing, but more complex trying to work out which strips look good together!!!! They are hanging on the back of the settee and I expect will be shuffled a bit before finally joined, cut up and rejoined etc !!!
