A European dash

The start of a long weekend on the continent with Benny.

The plan had been to spend a couple of days in Ghent before heading on over to Amsterdam.

The reality was strikes on the Eurostar (but only the Belgian leg) meaning an unexpected 6 hour stopover in Lille (they have a cute little free zoo it turns out) before a surprisingly cheap and last minute coach ride to Ghent. We got dropped off in the middle of nowhere, but we eventually found our way to the airbnb (one of Fred's friend's apartment, whilst they were away).
