Sprouting corn

The chickens love sprouted seeds and so I've started another jar for them to enjoy. The corn takes many days to sprout, but it's gobbled up in a few minutes. With the amount of water required to wash to seeds/corn every day, I'm not sure this is the most environmentally friendly food for our chickens.

I gave them some crusts of bread this afternoon and they went daft, chasing each other around the run to keep ahold of their crust (or try to steal it from another). Life's simple pleasures ;o)
