Costume for Deirdre

Here is the Irish heroine Deirdre herself portrayed in the costume that Lorna has designed for the 1907 play by WB Yeats. This is the third in the series of designs that we have posted.

I should try and use sateen for this unless someone has an old evening frock which will fit he bill. Don’t make the patterns too geometrical. I think the cruder the better.
