Thursday: Buddleia

There was a lot of rain overnight, enough to refill the water butt which MrD had emptied cleaning the patio yesterday.
Picked raspberries, they are still ripening and very sweet despite lack of sunshine!
Started clearing all the dead leaves under the buddleia and cutting back giant scabious and cranesbill which have finished, might even get a second lot of flowers!?
I’d collected our little crop of red gooseberries yesterday, they’ve been “topped & tailed”, washed and frozen for winter :-))
A nice evening, had a glimpse of blue sky and forecast good for the weekend...
ADDED LATER: Had a little wander around the garden, lifted one of the plastic sheets and saw a movement ... a very large toad!! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it will be there tomorrow and ready for a photo shoot :-))
