The Colour Purple

I went looking for more beetles in the white flowers this morning as it was less blowy.
No joy.
Maybe the raindrops had something to do with it. 
I took a few shots with narrower depth of focus - and not just of the white flowers ....... I did one or two of the orchid spikes.

There was a message arrived from my son-in-law asking if I had a plane for a small job he was doing. 
Yes I do, but I haven't used it for some time, so I  dug it out, dismantled it, cleaned the much and surface rust off it and sharpened the blade. It was then put back together again and I walked it over to him. On the way back I took some shots of the wildflower area. There were quite a few flying insects but I was unable to get in nice and close and see a bit more detail due to not having picked up the viewfinder attachment and the sun being too bright to see the screen on the back of the camera.
