Exciting sighting.

This lovely little butterfly is unique to our fynbos area. It is found in a small area on the Fynbos trail nearby. It is the first time I've seen it -not easy to photograph as it seldom sits still as its flits around. I will return and get better photos. I will also get the name - I can't remember it! I was about to phone a friend who could identify it when I heard the sad news that our dear friend had died. He had been in hospital with pneumonia, was Covid positive, had Altszheimers, so it is a blessed release. I cry for his wife who hadn't see him since lockdown.We have so many happy memories of fun holidays together. I think this butterfly to me will be Paul's butterfly! RIP Paul.
