East Princes Street Gardens
After 101 days I have stopped counting, as today in Scotland we can now travel more than 5 miles for exercise. Of course nothing else changes in that we still have to follow government guidelines; these are Face covering (compulsory in enclosed spaces from 10 July), Avoid crowded spaces, Clean hands, Two metre distancing, Self-isolate if you have symptoms and get a test. Simple really.
The weather, to celebrate our partial freedom, was pants; dreich with a very heavy shower in the afternoon. We eventually went out for a walk in the afternoon to see Edinburgh for the last time before I assume it becomes busier. The esplanade was almost empty and then as we went down Castlehill the heavens opened and the extra is the waterfall off the roof of the Hub. The main blip is of East Princes Street Gardens and sadly the drainage problems of compressed ground weren’t addressed before the new turf was laid.
Yesterday’s blip.
Best large.
