Not the first of the few .....

..... more like the last of many.

I think we have missed the best of the poppies but there are still one or two clumps growing along the verges and on waste ground.

I had to stick my camera through railings to capture the poppies along with a few cornflowers and some grasses.

Although it has been dry today it has been quite chilly and only a few blinks of sun in the afternoon .... sun hat and glasses not needed!
