Why oh why!!!!!!

Pretty much sums my evening so far!!
Took me far too long to sort bloody socks out, why is it they go in the machine in pairs and come out single....can someone please invent little poppers on socks that keep them together in the machine!!!!!
So after battling with socks, then sky not working (quick change of fuse in plug and happy days again!) I now have daughter stropping..... dunno quite how to handle this one but next year there is a big Brownie weekend where they take over Butlins , great I thought she'd love it that is until I saw that they would be in chalets on their own as they aren't allowed adults in with them.... She will only be 9 and don't get me wrong I'm not an over the top mum at all and like me kids to have freedom but sleeping in a locked chalet on their own does actually fill me with dread!!!! So am not in favour at the moment ... Am I bring too over protective????
