A Day Worth Recording

At Crowbatics

Today wasn't great photographically. What sun there was at lunchtime dipped in and out within seconds, and the strong wind was pretty nippy. On the basis of blipping the irreproducible over the good, I was rather taken by this one.

Various phone calls with Insurance Persons progressing the claim after M's bag theft. Seems few in the insurance industry can distinguish between a camera and a lens so what started at Agent A with two cameras and two lenses was, this morning in the mind of Agent B, four cameras (I should have left the conversation there...). This afternoon, it was one camera and three lenses with Agent C.

When Agent C asks, a month or so after the question was relevant, "When did this [theft] happen?" one is left in some strange mental state, one conducive to the use of short words.

One might have thought they'd just pass on the information we gave Agent A.

Probably their IT doesn't enable that.

Not expecting our IT to enable much in the morning: we're having big change thing overnight.

If the preamble is anything to go by, the chances of that being seamless are as likely as insurance agents successfully counting up to two without exotic diversions via the number four.

I'll take a good book to read until the IT man turns up to untangle things.
