Wolfsbane

I made it as far as the garden (very briefly) this afternoon. This is wolfsbane or monkshood - I bought it at a plant sale last year and I’ve only just discovered quite how poisonous it is. Apparently death can occur even from just handling it and quickly - yikes!

I can guarantee I didn’t wear gloves when I planted it and I’m pretty sure I’ll have touched it a time or two to admire the flowers. It may explain why I’ve been feeling a bit nauseous this afternoon (although not the accompanying headache).
