A bridge too far!

Had my first lesson today at a U3A's bridge class for beginners. My father in law once tried to teach my husband and I to play and failed. (He was a very impatient teacher)
Used to play Whist a lot, which helped, but after 2 hours I felt brain dead. Fortunately everyone made mistakes and we were able to laugh it off. Instructor has helpfully sent us an e-mail putting down what we were taught in writing to enable us to mull it over. Looking forward to the next lesson!
