Over the wall

The allotment at the end of our garden in wonderful to see at this time of year with lots of vegetables growing. I climbed up onto a raised area to see over the wall and take a few photos.
Went into Hexham this morning to do a shop at Waitrose and it was quiet, although there was a queue forming when we were leaving. We would normally have a walk round Hexham and go for a coffee but not today just in shop and home.
We were surprised at seeing a Covid test centre in the car park, it looked like it was run by the army.
After lunch we went for a walk out of the village and up the hill via a field and farm track and then back down the road into the village centre, nice circular walk with lovely views over the other side of the valley.
Hubby finished the jobs in the garden cutting back a bush that was hanging over the boiler. We could hear chatting in the allotment but couldn’t see anyone.
Had an hour reading and hubby cooked tonight.
The pizza van was in the village square when I took Hetty for her evening walk and seemed to have a steady flow of customers all socially distant and some wearing masks. Walking round the village was lovely as a few dog walkers were about and children playing in garden and a couple sat on a bench eating pizza.
