Gobby

Well it’s a cardo or cardoon. Or gobi or gobbi locally. Is that where English gets its word for ‘carding’ wool. Like a teasle for teasing wool: aligning the fibres for spinning.

Just coming into bloom and beloved of the black bees.

First time I’ve been out of the Casentino since 5th March. There is another world out there.
