Onopordum Acanthium

Otherwise known as the Scottish thistle. Lots of these on our coastal path to Siccar Point this morning, as well as lots of brambles and nettles. It felt like we were the first people to use the path since lockdown and unfortunately I was wearing shorts! Apparently Siccar Point is the world’s most important geological site. All because of Hutton’s Unconformity. See Mr P’s blip for more info. He’s become a bit of a rock bore! Supposed to be showery in the afternoon but more blue skies and sunshine so after some R & R in the garden, went back to Cove beach. Enjoyed watching the waves splashing over the harbour wall.
