Although it was a touch cool, and there was no sun to speak of, we went for a long walk over Exmoor. We managed to get misdirected and wasted an hour and a half before ending up back at the same gate we'd gone through earlier. This meant we had to miss off Tarr Steps although we still visited the Roman bus stop (first extra), or rather the Caratacus Stone, believed to be a fifth or sixth century tribute to a king who led a resistance movement against the Romans. You might wonder why it took hundreds of years to commemorate him, though building regulations were tough, even then.
The second extra may be wild turkeys, although there was no sign of Glenn Cornick. (Jorgiesmum has kindly told me they're guinea fowl.)
The third extra shows Exmoor ponies, though they look fully grown to me.
Going soft to rivulets.
