Sparrowhawk

..in an alder tree.  I had a little encounter with this sparrowhawk early this morning in the nature reserve. Kind of guessing he was a fairly young one because the suit of feathers isn't quite in place - and because of the incredibly clumsy way he got from perch to perch.  All over the place.  I thought he was a misbehaving pigeon until I got a clear look at him.

Spent the rest of the day giving Hazel a short walk and messing about on the computer.  Feeling quite tired now and hoping it isn't my turn to cook supper ;))
