Out and about.

Took myself off to Hitchin Lavender today. The weather was a little grey but I had a wonderful time wandering through the rows of lavender. They have lots of different varieties and usually you can cut your own but not this year. However they had set up a takeaway cafe for coffee, sandwiches and cake. In addition they had a small shop where you could select what you wanted and someone picked it, bagged it and handed it over. I treated myself to some lavender oil and luxurious foot cream.
As I walked through the fields, I couldn’t help noticing the insects. Lots of bumble bees, butterflies, lady birds. My extra is a Rosemary Beetle. An unwanted guest I suspect given the damage it can do.
