Tree down!

After a couple of days swimming, we went cycling again today, getting out soon after breakfast, since it was going to get really hot. We started from South Lebanon. At one point, we came across a group of volunteers working on this downed tree. Though it may not be clear from the top photograph, they had cleared just enough for cyclists to push their bikes through, lifting them over a branch. The bottom photograph shows the same point on our return, cleared enough to cycle through. I imagine they will clear more in the future, perhaps when they have some more substantial equipment!
I’m really struggling with motivation at present, so beyond getting my daily exercise, encouraged by Roger, I didn’t get much more accomplished. Early evening we enjoyed a grill-out in the spirit of the holiday. With the major firework displays cancelled, the last several evenings have seen a lot of neighbourhood fireworks going off.
