Monday: Convolvulus ...

... Corncockle ... & Calendula ... not planned but these caught my eye whilst wandering around the garden ... between picking raspberries ... hanging the washing on the line and collecting ripe seed of Calendula.
Whilst we’ve had days of rain the salad seeds sown a few days ago have been growing but the slugs have eaten all the seedlings so I’ve re-sown today and put them in a sealed plastic box!
The carder bees have thankfully survived the days of torrential rain. Individuals flying in an out, the “fluffing up” started again over the centre of their nest. Some on the purple toadflax which is their garden :-))
