Hay today

Our neighbour owns a field at the back of our garden. He has harvested the hay and is taking it back to the farmer who will put it into the bailing machine to make tight squares of compressed hay. He has to drive through our garden to access his field and we don't mind this. He is using a furmanka to transport it - a wooden card that used to be pulled by a horse. These times the furmanka has outlasted the horse and is pulled by a tractor.
