Revenge of the Wheelie Bins!

Believe it or not this is a long lost still from a shelved Dr Who episode which never aired. The wheelie bins were the forerunners of the Daleks but sadly they never took off with the public as they were apparently not scary enough. Their design meant they had limited functions and could only flap their lids not very menacingly. Also their two plastic wheels restricted them from chasing the Doctor and they could not negotiate stairs (an issue which didn't seem to concern the programmers when the Daleks came on the scene!) The nail in the coffin came for the wheelie bins when, during rehearsals for the penultimate episode, the entire cast was overcome by methane gas because some studio minion had neglected to empty the bins!
