Old Wagon

Strange day today - a walk without the dog again - inquisitive folk asking where he is! Having to explain that he is ok, just resting.

Then we went off on a trek to pick some strawberries - at a farm near Retford. One hell of a trek - but we met up with our daughter, husband and the grandchildren. We picked about 5kg of fruit - Mrs madwill is on a mission to make some strawberry gin! I will be jam making with some and then we will make strawberry puree to freeze. By the time we added cost of fuel to get there and back they work out bloomin’ expensive - but it was a break in the monotony. We had intended to go to a place nearer to our daughter (that we used last year) but yesterday they put a message on their facebook page that the fruit was pretty much exhausted.

The photo is of an old coal wagon that has been ‘re-purposed’ on the farm. Wonder if it came from any of the mines scattered around the area. Also blipped are some sleeping alpacas - they were very sweet.
