Picnic anyone?

These dilapidated picnic tables grace an area bordering Grizedale Forrest. The story goes that the tables were part of a country celebration for the employees of North West Water, who own the land. A concert and picnic were held in the amphitheatre created by part of the reservoir bank. Why the tables were left is a mystery and as the site is no longer open to the public they will remain unused until overcome by rot and the elements.
