I did feel for these two Woodpeckers this afternoon as they were sheltering from the torrential rain.  I was dying to go out and cut those little twigs! They were still there when it finally stopped and the sun put in a brief appearance.  Think this is the wettest day we've had for a few months and 50+ mph wind!  Heavy downpours for most of the day and it was pouring out of my guttering.... hailstones too.
