Poorly Percy Pigeon

Alice and Alfie rescued a poor injured pigeon which looks like it had been attacked by the cat. They put it in a shoe box, gave it some food and water and left it in the shed overnight. Surprisingly, it was still alive this morning but had a nasty gash to its back and seemed to have lost the use of its legs. Alice was the only one who wanted to try and look after it and the rest of us thought it would be kinder to put it out of its misery. She phoned an animal sanctuary who said they would come out but in the end decided it wasn’t worth it. This evening, as it was still no better, D got out his gun and sent it off to the big pigeon loft in the sky. Alfie is still trying to placate Alice.
