Ancient Stone Carvings

Although I’ve walked under this railway bridge on a regular basis over the last eight months, I had never noticed these carvings in the bricks until this morning.

I wonder if NJM, Jenny, Mogi, JJ and the countless others are still around the area, and whether they ever revisit their names preserved here for posterity.
