Pillars of the community

Christchurch Greyfriars was built in 1225, destroyed in the Great Fire of London, rebuilt by Wren, and destroyed once again in the Second World War.
Now a garden, the wooden towers here represent the pillars that held the roof.
They look better in the spring...
