Derelict Sunday

Happy 200th to the Derelict Sunday challenge. Thanks Marlieske for all the hosting. 

This little ornament has seen better days, one missing ear and a large crack across the body. I got it when I was pretty young and can’t bear to throw it out. It has a little friend which is in equally used condition.

Last night I was mucking around with the camera settings and found the ability to change the format so this is a wide shot, will be useful for wide Wednesday. It’s amazing what you discover when you re-read your camera manual. 

Today has been quiet and cold. I went out shopping but otherwise didn’t do anything momentous. Tonight is the final of an excellent show on ABC TV called Operation Buffalo. It’s a story based on the atomic bomb tests the British government did in South Australia in the 1950s. They didn’t understand the dangers and unfortunately some of the First Nations people were still living out in the desert.
