Echium Pininana

This stunning monster is growing in the alms house garden close to the cathedral in Winchester, I've had to search books and Google to find out what it is.

Spent most of the day with RF planting a few more plants in her garden and also cutting the grass and tidying the edges. She had an appointment at the hairdresser this afternoon and now has a very red flash again, she looks lovely.
