White Buddleia
This is a "wedding cake" of a flower! Looking it up I think it must be the one named Buddleia davidii White Profusion. It was in my friend's garden. We chatted whilst she helped me weed a patch at the allotment and then we chatted some more over tea. As I had not taken my usual wander around the allotment site to take a photograph this was a worthy take. Extra shows just how big is this flower spike but still could not line up an object to give scale. Settled close by was a resting Red Admiral. Seemed quite sleepy and I managed to get close for a shot but when I looked they were poorly focused - wrong lens for close ups I think. I see such beautiful photos of butterflies in Blip that I could not be proud to show this one. There will be another day.
