More than 5 miles!

Exercise Videos x2 ✔️

The bingo wing exercises just about KILL me! I can’t even do the 5 minute sessions without frequent stops. JR assures me it will get easier, but that’s hard to believe.

Today was the first day that our esteemed leader (*cough*) deemed that we could travel more than 5 miles! And so, once Archie had gone off with Elizabeth (yapping loudly to tell the whole street), we set off south, to Peebles, around 20 miles.

It was lovely to be out amongst the green rolling Borders hills. Peebles itself is a nice wee town. We went for a walk along the river, which is most pleasant, although better with a dog, as most people had. Sadly, Archie still hates the car.

It was overcast all day, but it didn’t actually rain. The umbrella in this shot is just a prop.

We also had a dander through the town. Most of the shops were open, with anxious looking owners ready to welcome browsers, or better still - actual shoppers - but not much business going on. I feel so sorry for them. Though JR did buy some little plants she’s been unable to get all lockdown, which she popped in the garden as soon as she got home.

There were no little cafes open for coffee and scones, which is just as well, because the diet is stuttering along...

PS Archie had another wee turn last night - not quite so long this time.
