wasps

A day of two halves..

Half of it spent on the phone to Currys, trying to arrange for a replacement for D's new tablet which arrived yesterday. He has had the same tablet since 2013, which has done very well but is getting increasingly creaky so new technology is needed. We were excited when he unboxed the new one, but it just didn't even get to the startup screen and then wouldn't turn off. Very frustrating.

I tried to be patient when I was put on hold. All those Currys guys are working from home and it's not their fault. 2 hours and 19 minutes later, a replacement had been sorted.

I had some lunch and then went out for a long walk, looking at flowers and insects. The Common Hogweed was covered with mating Soldier Beetles, but I also saw these two wasps. Wasps are not always popular but they are useful as pollinators.

Finally, some time in the garden, making the most of the dry weather.
