Urban preserve

The Korsman Bird Sanctuary is a fenced preserve centred on a large ephemeral pan in the Westdene suburb of Benoni east of Johannesburg.

The walk around the perimeter is around 2,5 km. We recorded 30+ species which is good for a winter count.
