Ride in the borders

J had penciled in this weekend as the day when he would cycle all the way home to his parent's house in Northumbria. He went through with it even with the mixed forecast. The forecast had actually improved over the last few days so I agreed to join him as far as Innerleithen. We then went separate ways at Traquair where I took this photo. It only actually rained around this point.

I then cycled back solo via Peebles and West Linton. J did make it to Northumbria. The forecast isn't any better tomorrow so I'm not sure he will cycle all the way back.
