It has been a dull day, with temperature of about 14C in the afternoon. The HG was busy in the morning tidying up his plant pots etc. after the fence build, as he had had to move a lot of things to accommodate the workers.
C and K arrived with our weekly shopping and we had a socially distanced chat inside as it was a bit damp outside.
In the afternoon we drove to Darvel over the country roads. We stopped at The Heron for a takeaway ice cream, first time we have been in a shop since early March. It was strange with the social distancing, one way system, sanitising etc. but we enjoyed the ice cream immensely, sitting in the car as there was no outside seating.
We passed a tree with these fungi growing and had to stop to get a picture, of course. Checking my book it appears to be Dryad's Saddle (Polyporus squamosus). It was huge, and very interesting.
Now to make Lemon Sole and salad for tea, with home grown strawberries afterwards.
