Quite surreal..

to see the Auckland International Airport,  so devoid of departing passengers. Virtually everything was closed but take away coffee was available from a cart outside.   P left to fly back to the U.K. today.   While he was waiting to  check in I went for a walk to the other end of the terminal.  Incoming passengers (NZ citizens only) were boarding buses for a two hour trip south to begin their fourteen day quarantine. So much colder there than where they’ve come from.
