A Hefty Tome

A day spent indoors - windy & wet outside.
This book "Lost England" is a real 'tour-de-force'.  With 560 pages and 1,200 photographs, it weighs in at a hefty 8 lbs (3.5 Kg) - which calls for some ingenuity when reading it in the comfort of an armchair.....
It gives an extraordinary insight into England between 1870 and 1930,  via some amazing, and extremely interesting photographs.  A world which has by now all but vanished......
