Shells and Stones

Another inclement day weatherise - more wind but less rain. At least our early morning walk was dry and relatively calm. I made it good start on my still life project to explore patterns of natural objects on black or white background. I have set myself a number of constraints, cutting squares of black and white card, with one square of each cut in half diagonally to be put together as a triangle of each to form the square. These first experiments are with a black ground and whitish pebbles and shells. The aim is to explore composition and the use of space.
