Life goes on...
This was going to be a day of catching up with things, but those are the days which never go to plan!
I got the washing machine on, the bread machine on, made a lemon drizzle cake, walked Lottie and then got a phone call from H asking me to call the doctor for her.
Unfortunately, the doctor isn't doing home visits just now, but I managed to speak to her and she rang H and then phoned me back asking me to bring her to the surgery.
When the doctor had seen her, she asked me to take H to A & E in Kirkwall. Went back to make sure the dogs would be okay and collect H's kindle then we headed to the Balfour Hospital. All very organised, masks, distancing and hand washing facilities, screens and clear signage.
H was seen almost straight away but the various tests and waiting for examination took a while and she was ready to make a run for it! Luckily she got engrossed reading her kindle and settled down.
We were back home shortly before 6pm. Nothing definite found, just age and the problems which accompany it. What a waste of time, she declared! I have had to promise that I will never take her back there again!
Hey ho! After being so independent all your life it must be hellish to have to realise that you not longer are....
