A Face Like A Wet Weekend...
...mine that is! Frank bought himself a good windproof umbrella and he says it's the best thing he ever bought - mind you he says that about most things he's ever bought! :-D
Personally I don't like brollies, I think they get in the way and prefer just to put my hood up.
I'm getting fed up of the rain now and it's set in for the next week! As if we hadn't all had a bad enough time, we really need some sunshine to cheer us up now.
Well, we have decided to go to Scotland tomorrow now their 5 mile limit has been lifted. We will drive straight to Frank's daughter Anna's house (North of Dumfries) and stay one night there then up to Airdrie to stay at Sabrina's. We will not go anywhere else, no shopping or seeing anyone else. This way we will at least see 4 of our grandkids and their parents.
We don't know if we are doing the right thing or not but I fear that if we don't go now we may miss the opportunity if the virus spikes anywhere. Frank has been quite stressed by the prospect of visiting them and I must say it worries me too. We will all just need to be extremely sensible and careful.
Oh but I'm so excited!
We went to the boat this morning to bring some things back to the house - including 2 tomato plants which had been outside. They don't look any worse for it but the warmth inside will do them the world of good. We also popped into Skipton where Frank filled up with diesel and I went to the bakers and then the art shop to buy some acrylic paints and more fine brushes. I was the only customer in both shops thank heavens.
Not much else done today as yet. I feel like just reading my book or watching a film and doing some crochet.
Have a good weekend! :-)x
