Reading this ...
... wasn't the only thing I did this weekend, but with just over 700 pages of text it did consume most of my waking hours. Solomon's book lived up to all the good reviews and interviews I'd heard with him. His thinking about how children's development of horizontal identities - ones that differ from their parents such as Down Syndrome, deafness, autism, or being a prodigy - impacts families is fascinating.
I did manage to get out in our beautiful weather on Saturday, and walked several miles doing errands and going to yoga.
