Light My Byre

As the islands are now beginning to reopen we can now visit our croft in the Outer Hebrides. At the moment you can only book 13 days in advance so hopefully we can arrange to be on the Calmac ferry from Ullapool to the Isle of Lewis in the not too distant future. My blip today is a print of Stornoway Harbour purchased from the local Arts Centre, An Lanntair.

My album of the day is "Hunky Dory" by David Bowie. Gently subversive in 1971, the album just scratched the surface of things to come. Wasn't quite his commercial breakthrough, that would come with The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy. Lots of good tracks "Changes", "Oh You Pretty Things" and "Queen Bitch", but my highlight was the wonderful "Life On Mars", the rest is history.
