Lucky rabbit's foot

A fairly average day today, dry, breezy, some sunshine. I spent some time this morning pruning the laurel hedge and then re-potting some of my Nerine collection. 
 
Just about warm enough to have lunch outside - I won't be lunching with Jane Austen anymore as I've also done with Emma - so I'm now spending some time in the company of HRH Prince Chula Chakrabongse of Siam. Born in 1908 in what is now Thailand, he wrote a doubtlessly rarely read autobiography 'Brought up in England'. He was a cousin of the well-known racing driver Prince Birabongse Bhanudej Bhanubandh. You must have heard of him! Drove under the name of Prince Bira in the 1950s. The Thai Royal Family makes our Royals look like factory workers! 

Anyway, my Blip today is of the so-called Rabbit's Foot Fern, maybe Davallia, or possibly Humata. Labelling is rather vague when you buy plants from Homebase! There are quite a few similar ferns, on the verge of hardiness - I've seen them growing on rock faces in the Canaries. Nothing lucky about them - I suppose the rhizomes are supposed to look like rabbits' feet!
