The sun always shines

One of Mrs. Ottawacker's more Pollyanna-ish expressions of optimism, which is naturally in stark opposition to the morbid lugubriousness with which I tend to see the world, is “the sun always shines.”
 
It explains, in part, why she can put up with me – but also explains her cheerful and unassuming nature. Things, she feels, will always get better.
 
Anyway, were I not in catch-up mode, I would expound on this. So be grateful I am.
 

I did point this image out to her from the front-room window. Her answer was a cheery “I told you so.”
